Millwall missed a chance to grab three important points as they conceded a late leveller to Exeter.

Adam Stansfield's shot beat David Forde in the 88th minute to deflate the Lions, who had led from a first-half penalty.

Marcus Stewart narrowly headed wide for the home side in the first quarter of an hour, but it was Millwall that took the lead on 21 minutes after David Martin was felled by Bertie Cozak in the area. The winger confidently dispatched the spot-kick.

The balance swung further in Millwall's favour after the break, when Steve Tully was dismissed for a second bookable offence. Danny Schofield failed to pick out Marc Laird as he surged into the box after a good move soon afterwards, while Steve Morison nodded wide from less than six yards out after a ball from Andy Frampton.

They were to regret their missed chances, as Stansfield delivered a cross which improbably eluded Forde in the Millwall goal.
