Baguette opens at last in Canary Wharf

baguette.jpgIt's been "coming soon" for what seems like an eternity but Baguette finally opened for business this morning.

The sandwich bar in Canada Square mall has for months been surrounded by hoardings advertising its arrival and it served its first customers at 11am today.

Baguette offers a range of fillings, including roast beef and roquette and tuna and lollo biondo, served in a freshly baked french stick.

The offshoot of Birleys is a bit cheaper than its bigger brother, with prices for a breakfast baguette starting at £1.95 and lunch ones at £2.95.

Anyone intrigued to find out more should head down to the mall, close to Waitrose.

Customers can take advantage of a special opening offer and get 25 per cent off any baguette this week.
