Westferry accident victim dies of head injuries
A pedestrian who needed the assistance of the air ambulance when she was injured by a bus at Westferry Circus last week has died.
Shan Shan Guo, 27, from Poplar, died last Sunday from head injuries sustained in the accident on October 17.
Shan was hit by the bus at around 2.40pm on the Saturday afternoon. The air ambulance was called out, although she was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel by road ambulance.
She remained there until she died eight days after the accident. Cause of death was given as head injuries.
An inquest was opened at Poplar Coroners Court yesterday and was adjourned to April 28.
