Preview: Bolton Wanderers v West Ham
Gianfranco Zola could hand a debut to new signing Guillermo Franco in tonight's Carling Cup clash with Bolton.
The Mexican striker, signed on a free transfer last week, is in line for at least a substitute appearance at the Reebok Stadium as West Ham aim to progress to the fourth round.
The Irons travel north without Matthew Upson and Valon Behrami. The pair picked up injuries in Saturday's 3-2 defeat by Liverpool, Upson with a minor calf injury and Behrami with an undisclosed condition.
But Junior Stanislas should be in the squad, after being left out on Saturday, while Kieron Dyer, who made a substitute appearance against the Reds could start.
The sides have met four times in this competition, with Bolton winning at the same stage in the last encounter in October 2005. West Ham have never won at the Reebok in nine attempts.
Zola is keen to see his side do well in the Cup, particularly as it provides the Hammers most likely route to Europe this season.
He said: "It's very important and we take it very seriously. We want to go ahead in the competition so we will try to win the game."
