More than a century of football memories have taken over the lobby of One Canada Square.

From stunning shots of the Matthews Final of '53 to more modern photos of Vinnie Jones in the Wimbledon FA Cup success of 1988, the gallery documents the history of British football.

The rare and iconic snaps are on show to the public to mark the launch of new website mirrorfootball.co.uk, which offers up-to-the-minute football news and an archive of thousands of images from the beautiful game.

The Daily Mirror, based on the 22nd floor of the Canary Wharf tower, published its first football match report on February 8, 1904, and has been at grounds around the country ever since.

The exhibition began on Sunday and will run until Friday September 4.

Highlights of the gallery include many unseen photos as well as pictures of legends from the past such as Bobby Charlton, Johnny Haynes, Billy Wright and Jackie Milburn.
