A sex attacker believed to be responsible for a series of assaults around the Royal Docks and Beckton throughout the summer has struck again.

The suspect, who wears a black hat pulled over his face with holes cut out for his eyes and mouth, is believed to be behind five attacks stretching back to mid-July.

In the most recent incident, which took place last Tuesday, a 28-year-old woman was approached from behind and sexually assaulted as she walked home just after 5pm.

The attack took place on the corner of Tollgate Road and Stansfield Road in Beckton.
Police are linking it to four other attacks, the first taking place on Friday July 10 in a wooded alleyway between Tollgate Road and Stansfield Road.

In that incident the man forced a 34-year-old woman to the ground before fleeing when she began screaming.

The second attack happened 10 days later in mid-afternoon at the same area and saw a 36-year-old manage to flee.

The next incident took place on Friday August 14, just before midnight at Royal Albert Way near Beckton Park. That time a 24-year-old woman managed to escape.

The fourth attack took place near the Royal Victoria Docks where a 28-year-old woman was followed after getting off a bus. She also escaped.

The man is described as a light-skinned black man, aged between 30 and 35. He has an athletic build and a moustache.
