Leyton Orient 1 Millwall 0

MillwallLOGO142.jpgMillwall's dismal away form continued as they made it 11 winless games in a row on the road with defeat at Leyton Orient.

An Andros Townsend goal was the difference between the two League One outfits, with Millwall having only themselves to blame for not taking at least a point back to south London.

Kenny Jackett's men enjoyed plenty of possession but could not convert that into goals, with the dangerous Steve Morison too often forced out wide to forage for the ball rather than posing a goalscoring threat down the middle.

Orient had the best chance in the first half, when James Scowcroft squandered a great opportunity after Ben Chorley played him through.

But Orient deservedly took the lead in the 57th minute when Townsend, who only entered the fray two minutes earlier, powered a left foot drive past David Forde.

Millwall could not break down the resolute home defence and saw their play-off hopes hit yet again with another defeat, much to Jackett's annoyance.

He said: "We really need to do better than this. It was a poor performance from us and we need to eradicate our inconsistencies."

His team have the chance to put things right tomorrow night when they entertain Yeovil at The Den.
