Antiques Roadshow to roll into Greenwich

aa-sep3-fiona.jpgStart rummaging in the attic and dusting off those heirlooms, the BBC's Antiques Roadshow is rolling into Greenwich.

The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College will host the ever popular show, hosted by Fiona Bruce, on Thursday, October 1.

A team of leading antique and fine art experts will be dishing out advice, and valuations, to eager visitors.

This will be the show's 32nd series, with last one watched by an averge of seven and a half million viewers per show. Finds last year included a vase bought for £1 which was later sold for £36,000. Doubtless there will be more intriguing artefacts discovered this time round.

Series Editor Simon Shaw said: "The team are all looking forward to their visit to the stunning Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College. It's always exciting to see what will come to light on the day. We regularly see between 1500 and 2000 visitors on the day. Despite the high turnout everyone will get to see an expert."

Anyone with large items can send details and photographs of their objects to: Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LR or email antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk.

The doors open at 9.30 am and close at 4.30pm. Note there is no parking on site and the public are encouraged to use public transport.
