Charlton fans will welcome back their side to The Valley on Saturday as the Addicks look to maintain their 100 per cent league record.

Victories on the road at Hartlepool and Leyton Orient, following a home win against Wycombe, have seen the side make the best possible start before entertaining the Saddlers.

No new injury problems have been reported, despite a physical battle at Orient on Tuesday and manager Phil Parkinson will be hoping to keep an unchanged side for the Walsall match.

Defender Miguel Angel Llera is set to keep his place after coming through unscathed in that match, where he wore protective headgear following an injury in the opening game against Wycombe Wanderers which needed 12 stitches.

He is likely to wear the headgear on Saturday as well.

Manager Parkinson said: "The cut reopened against Hartlepool and the doctor recommended that Miguel didn't play against Orient.

"Miguel said he wanted to play, however, and that's a refreshing attitude to have. But we also wanted to protect him as much as we could, so head physio Steve Allen got this cap for him and Miguel played well with it.

"I don't know where he got it from but it did the job. He didn't get it until Tuesday but he was happy with it. I thought it might affect him but he was fine.

"To be successful, you need character and Miguel has epitomised the character running through our squad. When you see someone putting themselves on the line to play it can inspire other people around them, and I'm sure that's what happened.

"It is a serious cut, but by next week it should be nearly healed."

On-form Jamaican striker Deon Burton - who has scored five goals in his last four matches including a hattrick in the final game of last season - is likely to lead the line, with Jonjo Shelvey playing just behind him.

Kick off: 3pm Saturday
