Police hunt gang after DLR attack

A commuter who asked a group of teenagers to stop spitting at fellow passengers was followed down the road and attacked.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, was at Greenwich DLR on Monday June 22, when he confronted the group on the platform.
He got off the train at Island Gardens and walked along Westferry Road.
The suspects, one black male and two white males all aged about 17, followed the victim and confronted him at Ferry Street at about 7.15pm.
One of the suspects punched him in the head causing his ear to bleed and the others kicked him when he fell to the floor.
A doctor treated the man's injuries, but he refused to go to hospital.
Police are seeking witnesses, especially a woman who approached the victim after the attack.

The 21-year-old was in Copenhagen Place at 4pm last Thursday when between 10 and 12 Bengali Asians took his mobile phone and £45, before he fled.
