Man charged over DLR sex attack

A man has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting a woman on the DLR.
Michael Taylor, 43, of no fixed abode, was also accused of possession of an offensive weapon and affray at the hearing at Thames Magistrates Court.
He was arrested at Crossharbour by Metropolitan Police officers at about 8.50pm on Saturday, June 27 and later charged by the British Transport Police.
The alleged incident took place onboard a DLR train travelling between Bank and Heron Quays.
He appeared in court last Monday, was remanded in custody and will next appear at on August 10.
