Jamie's Italian all set for opening
Jamie Oliver has been a regular visitor to Canary Wharf in the past week as preparations for the opening of his new restaurant gather pace.
Jamie's Italian officially opens in Churchill Place on August 5 and the chef has made a couple of surprise visits to keep an eye on things, including a stop-off last night.
The restaurant had a soft opening today, with plenty of hungry Wharfers enjoying the first lunchtime service.
Oliver is confident his latest venture will prove to be popular.
He said: "The place is looking brilliant and all the staff just can't wait for the doors to open on August 5."
