Waitrose has revealed two more of its staff are now off sick with swine flu.

It follows the news last week that a member of staff at the Canada Square branch had the virus - believed to be the first person in Canary Wharf to contract it.

A spokeswoman for the store said: "I can confirm that three Partners at our Canary Wharf branch are at home with confirmed swine flu.

"They are being treated by their GPs in accordance with national health guidance and are making a good recovery."

Despite the new cases, she assured shoppers that the store was safe and that it would remain open for business.

She said: "Additional hygiene procedures are in place at the shop.

"We are following the advice of the Department of Health and the Health Protection Agency, which is that these cases have no impact on the safe operation of the branch."
