Michael Jackson ticket refund details
Fans who bought tickets to see Michael Jackson at The O2 have the option of claiming a full refund or keep their ticket as a memento.
Concert promoters AEG Live have promised to repay in full all tickets, priced between £50 and £75, bought from authorised agents, plus any service charges.
Refunds will be processed by the authorised ticket agencies like Ticketmaster and Viagogo.
Fans who purchased their tickets privately may not be so lucky, although internet auction site ebay has promised to refund fans from its insurance.
But in an unusual twist fans can opt to receive the tickets and wiave their right to a refund.
The tickets have been printed using a special lenticular process inspired and designed by Jackson. The offer is available for fans from tomorrow until August 14.
Ticketholders should visit michaeljacksonlive.com from tomorrow for full details about claiming a refund.

Tickets will just be another eBay opportunity. There is a related post at http://iamsoannoyed.com/?p=1998
What a disgrace all this refund souvenir nonsense is!
And to think that these people at AEG get pay to come up with these kind of ideas! Shame on you all!
If you would really like to treat us with respect, as Michael would have liked, you would give us the money and the tickets! This should cost you all your jobs!
The Government should step in and don’t allow this to happen! I know it is not illegal, but it is in the worst possible taste! Talk about greed….An insult to Michael Jackson and his fans!!!!
AEG are greedy till the end. I believe that AEG put Jackson under pressure to agree to 50 dates, this was completely unrealistic. To expect a frail 50-year old man to sing and dance for hours night after night was crazy. This would be challenging even for a fit, young person. I believe Michael Jackson would still be alive if he had not been under the intense pressure to perform 50 concerts.
Now AEG are asking £80 just for the paper ticket, that's just brazen opportunism. If the proceeds were going to one of Michael Jackson's charities it could be justified, but it's just going to the pockets of the already rich concert promoters!

i think that the tickets should be given to those who purchased them. everyone who bought tickets did so because they were a fan and it is terrible that he died but even worse to profit from his death by making us pay for a piece of paper that we could cherish. We were lucky enough to be able to buy tickets at least reward us with what has been printed
So-if you paid £50 that is what the ticket costs and if you paid £75 that is what the ticket cost!
Charge £5 per ticket and maybe everyone would be happy. The tickets for the first 10 shows had already been printed-give them to the ticket holders.
I have read that 40% to 50% of people have requested their tickets. I find this really hard to believe and will keep my booking confirmation as my souvenir.
As Ticketmaster have given no acknowledgement of having received requests for refunds, I only hope they are going to play fair!
