Santa Teresa "Rhum Orange"
Venezuela, Currently £13.99

"A bright amber-orange colour, it has the aroma of candied friuts and spice notes, while the palate is slightly viscous with zesty citrus flavours."

- Of all the spirits, rum has a particular affinity when combined with fruit juices.

This makes it the ideal cocktail mixer for the summer season. By extension this rum based liqueur has done much of the work for you as it already has the pungent flavour of oranges captured within it.

Santa Teresa is a family owned company, established over 200 years ago in the Aragua Valley in the heart of Venezuela. The hacienda distills, blends and ages luxury rums as well as producing this orange flavoured rum liqueur.

Rhum Orange is a blend of two-year-old rums. Within orange peel has been macerated in order to release their exotic scent and flavour.

A bright amber-orange colour, it has the aroma of candied friuts and spice notes, while the palate is slightly viscous with zesty citrus flavours. Think Terry's Chocolate Orange, mislaid then rediscovered, dusty, faintly earthy, but still definitely orangey.

While great on its own - neat or over ice, Rhum Orange is also a great mixer with Champagne, fruit juices or a wide range of other spirits.
