Test results on a sick worker at the Financial Services Authority have come back negative for swine flu.

The North Colonnade-based company sent a male member of staff home last week after he returned from the United States with flu-like symptoms.

It was believed to be a 'probable case' of swine flu. However, results from the Health Protection Agency have shown it to be seasonal flu.

A spokeswoman for the FSA said: "Our case turned out to be ordinary flu. They are still unwell but it is normal seasonal flu as opposed to swine flu."

Ten members of staff who were working closely with the man all returned to work on Wednesday.

They were due to return back to Canary Wharf anyway following a precautionary seven day period at home.
