Man released on bail for island attack

Police have arrested a man in connection with an assault which left a victim in a critical condition in hospital.

The incident happened at about 3.25am on Monday morning at Westferry Road on the Isle of Dogs in flats near the old fire station.

A 36-year-old from E2 was arrested and has been released on police bail until June 5.
