The Underground station at Canary Wharf closed due to a fire alert on Tuesday lunchtime.

Passengers were evacuated at about 12.45pm and people were still not being allowed back in at 1.30pm.

Transport for London says it was a false alarm.

The TfL website said faulty equipment was the cause of the closure and engineers were working on the problem.

There were also severe delays on the Jubilee on Tuesday morning due to a person under a train at Finchley Road.

Meanwhile, DLR remains disrupted east-bound from Blackwall as part of a 10-day closure, which began on Saturday.

Replacement buses are operating.
