GIG
N-Dubz, Indigo2

Mobo-award-winning hip hop trio N-Dubz hit the Indigo2 this week as part of their extended tour to promote current album Uncle B.

Comprising cousins Dappy and Tulisa alongside Fazer, the band dedicated their first record to Byron Contostavlos (uncle to Tulisa and father of Dappy) who managed the band but died before they completed their label switch from Polydor to All Around The World.

Their North Greenwich show will showcase all the album tracks including singles Papa Can You Hear Me and Ouch.

The album has sold more than 400,000 copies since its release last year.

April 19, 7pm, £12.50-£26, 0844 844 0002, theindigo2.com, Jubilee: North Greenwich

COMEDY
Russell Brand, The O2 arena

Actor, television presenter, radio broadcaster, comedian, author and film star - that's Russell Brand.

Or is he a former heroin addict, sex addict, bi-polar maker of obscene phone calls?
In reality of course he's a little of both and his latest live show Scandalous doubtless draws on all the trials and tribulations of his life as one of the most tabloid-friendly celebrities doing the rounds.

Of course the focus is likely to be on his parting of ways with the BBC following the prank calls he and Jonathan Ross made to comedy untouchable Andrew Sachs. But with Brand, nothing is sacred.

April 17, 6.30pm, £26.50, 0844 856 0202, theo2.co.uk, Jubilee: North Greenwich

STAGE
Bashment Granny 2, Hackney Empire

DD-apr16-BashmentWeb.jpg

The evils of money and its effect on friendship are examined in this tale of good fortune.

Mr Bashment, and Constable Shebada find themselves in possession of a bag filled with $12million.

But will the rightful owner seek them out? Or will the pretty barmaid and the jail rat get their hands on the cash?

A sizzling brew of romance, jealousy, deceit, treachery and Jamaican hocus pocus, Bashment Granny 2 is filled with Jamaican anecdotes, in a story that explores the relationship between cash, loyalty and our relationship with our friends.

April 17-19, 8pm, £20-£30, 020 8985 2424, hackneyempire.co.uk, Rail: Hackney

EVENT
Brief Encounters, Canary Wharf

DD-apr16-StatuesWeb.jpg

No, this is not an invitation to chat up married men or women at Canary Wharf station over a hot cup of tea.

Instead these Brief Encounters are a series of short performances by street acts designed to enliven every Wharfer's day at the office.

The first of two dates (April 16) will feature a performance of strength, grace and fluidity by Adagio Statues, marble figures that slowly come to life in Jubilee Place Mall.

The second (on April 23), features the Flame Oz duo, who will perform their new juggling act, Calvos Dos in Canada Place Mall.

April 16, 23, various times and locations, FREE, 020 8858 7755, mycanarywharf.co.uk, DLR/Jubilee: Canary Wharf
