Wharf hidden from Google Street View cameras

Canary Wharf has escaped the gaze of Google's roving Street View cameras.
Browsers planning to tour the estate using the internet giant's new feature will be disappointed, as the cameras stop on the fringes of the East London financial centre.
Google unveiled Street View in the UK a couple of weeks ago, allowing web users to virtually navigate streets around landmarks such as London's Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and The O2 arena in Greenwich.
But the guiding arrows stop on Canary Wharf approach roads such as Trafalgar Way, before scurrying back in the opposite direction.
Estate landlord Canary Wharf Group declined to comment, but a spokesman for Google UK said: "There are two reasons why areas might not appear on Google Street View.
"The first is strictly operational. The quality of the image might not have been strong enough, or there was a malfunction of the equipment.
"The other is that we only drive on public roads. As the roads in Canary Wharf are private, we wouldn't drive along them."
