Popular BBC show Top Gear swapped the open road for the Wharf estate on Tuesday morning.

Presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May faced a firing squad of mobile phone cameras as they filmed a segment on city cars outside the Jubilee line station.

BBC film crews had been in place near Reuters Plaza since 7am, and the TV trio attracted the attention of several commuters when they emerged from Carluccio's at around 10.30am.

Cars including the Proton Satria Neo 1.6 were later driven off the estate to embark on a journey around the capital.
