Spotting media celebs at the summit

By Giles Broadbent live at the G20

If your hobby is I Spy Media Celebs, your album would be full at the G20.

From Sky's Adam Boulton engaged in a corridor conflab with commentator/Cassandra Robert Peston, pictured, to the beguiling figure of siren Emily Maitlis, anyone who is anyone is here.

Diminutive Jonathan Charles stood on a box to interview towering BBC colleague Stephanie Flanders.

Indeed height seems to be a theme. Jon Snow has it and stoops to mitigate his lofty aspect while his Channel 4 chum Faisal Islam's formidable intellect is held in the frame of a 14-year-old.

Meanwhile the smoothie New Labour ministers are made of better genetic stock than you and I, starting with the imposing figure of Stephen Timms and the trim style of Lord Mandelson.

Clean teeth and pressed shirts are the order of the day even for the habitually scruffy.

Bob Geldof looked virtually unrecognizable in his trim jacket till he was collared, unprepared, by a camera crew and the expletive that followed removed all doubt as to his identity.
