The Career And Jobs Fair is coming to Excel this weekend for the ninth year in a row.

The leading recruitment, careers, training and education show features over 100 organisations that can "help shape your future".

It aims to introduce a huge variety of employers to thousands of candidates, while also offering advice to job hunters and those looking to move up the career ladder.

Highlights include an interactive section in The Thames Gateway Learning & Jobs Zone, while Construction Web focuses on training and employment specific to the construction industry - especially in areas such as the 2012 regeneration, Stratford and Silvertown Quays.

The event is run by Jarvis Exhibitions, which runs fairs across the UK. The Excel show is the biggest with an attendance of 20,000 last year.

It is free to enter and takes place between 11am and 5pm on Sunday, April 19, and between 10am and 4pm on Monday April 20.

To pre-register go to careersandjobslive.co.uk

- Meanwhile, open from next Wednesday at the Excel is the Flora London Marathon Exhibition, where runners can register for the big race.

Exhibitors will range from sports manufacturers and retailers to those organising sports tours.

The event will remain open throughout the registration process until the big race on Saturday, April 25.
