Paul Weller, The O2 arena
Weller, he's done it all. Punk punchiness, overblown instrumentals, style, scruffy indie.
And here he is, back again aged 50, and playing one of the biggest venues in London.
Now on his ninth solo album, the man affectionately branded the Modfather hits The O2 with a varied bag of collaborative material.
Expect a burst of Britpop as 22 Dreams features the work of Noel Gallagher, Graham Coxon and Ocean Colour Scene guitarist and Weller backing musician Steve Craddock.
If boredom sets in, let a little nostalgia take you over and start an Oasis-Blur debate.

The Illegal Eagles, The Indigo2

The big disadvantage with international groups and superstars is that quite often you'll have to wait a while before they tour your country.
Fortunately, a huge number of often supremely talented musicians, who for one reason or another never made their own mark in the business, are now working in the tribute industry.
Be it The Bootleg Beatles, The Counterfeit Stones or By Jovi, if the real thing is unattainable they're there to fill in.
So if you'd like to Take It Easy at the Hotel California, check out the Illegal Eagles. They're from Essex.

Modeste, Churchill Place Mall

Modeste Hugues Randramahitasoa grew up in Betroka, a town in the central southern part of Madagascar, before moving to Bulgaria to become an electrical engineer, then meeting and marrying a Greek and eventually moving from the Med to London.
A self-taught guitarist and singer, his sound is influenced by all the traditional music of the island coupled with softer South African dance rhythms.
After deciding to pursue music full-time in 1996, Modeste was awarded the Artist Of The Year 2008 by the International Art Society of Greece.

MUSIC
A Little Lunch Music, The Space

If you've got an hour or two to spare, you could do worse than get a little choral injection from The Blossom Street Singers.
The dynamic vocal ensemble made up of young professional singers, is performing a lunchtime concert at The Space which runs the gamut from pop and jazz arrangements to Tallis.
The group, which has performed on TV and has given numerous concerts all over the country, was formed by Hilary Campbell who gained a distinction for her MA in vocal studies at the University of York.
She subsequently took up a postgraduate place at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich.
