Tower Gateway is back in action

DLR travellers heading west can now touch out at Tower Gateway once again.
The City terminal opened today after a closure of around eight months for maintenance works, but some lines were disrupted this morning by a signal failure at West India Quay.
DLR's ongoing conversion to three-car trains required a complete face-lift for Tower Gateway, which closed at the end of last June as part of a three-year improvement plan. Several route changes have been prompted by the re-opening, such as the extension of the Beckton service from Canning Town to Tower Gateway, and the reduction of the frequency of the Woolwich service from seven to five minutes.
As the station opened, a "signalling issue" at West India Quay caused problems on some lines on the network at 9.43am.
