Preview: Wigan v West Ham

WestHam.gifGianfranco Zola has some selection dilemmas ahead of tonight's game at Wigan Athletic.

The West Ham boss has lost several senior squad members in recent weeks and could be forced to opt for youth once again.

Valon Behrami's knee injury, sustained during Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester City rules him out, although he would have missed the game through suspension anyway.

The Swiss international has travelled to Italy to have the injury assessed and it is possible he may miss the rest of the season.

Also out is Spanish striker Diego Tristan who has a groin injury that will sideline him for two weeks.

That means 19-year-old Savio Nsereko could make his first start for the Irons after impressing when he came on for Behrami on Sunday.

Also pushing for a starting role is midfielder Mark Noble after serving a one match suspension.

Youngsters Junior Stanislas and Josh Payne could be on the bench again.

The sides last met at the Boleyn Ground on the opening day of the season when a Dean Ashton brace gave the Hammers a 2-1 win.

Last season's corresponding fixture saw Wigan win 1-0, the only defeat the Irons have suffered in six visits to the ground.
