Quins players will coach 15 teams, including several from Canary Wharf, in the touch rugby tournament with skipper Will Skinner will coaching Credit Suisse.

He has high hopes for his charges, who played in last year's inaugural tournament.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to it. There was quite a bit of talent there last year. It was a good tournament and it was good to go out with the boys afterwards."

"I don't think I'm allowed to bring my boots along," joked Skinner. "But these boys are good so it's more encouragement than coaching.

"It's just about having a good game of rugby on the day and Credit Suisse did alright last year, even though Austin Healy put in an appearance for them."

Skinner, 25, has been in impressive form this season and hopes for inclusion in the full England squad for the summer tour to Argentina.

He said: "Hopefully. My main aim is just to play well for Quins and if I do that then I might get my chance of playing in the England shirt.

"If you are given the opportunity you want to make the most of it, whatever team you are in."

With Harlequins pushing for the Guinness Premiership title and the Heineken Cup he and his team-mates are certainly making the most of it.

The key to success is simple according to Skinner.

He said: "We're really enjoying our rugby. We look forward to playing and training and our preparation for each game has been brilliant. It shows by our results.

"You aim to win every game but it doesn't always happen. We don't set targets for points but ultimately we want to be in that top four.

"We've got to keep this momentum going. It's going to be tough but fingers crossed."

The City Scrum tournament, organised by City law firm Norton Rose, takes place at the Honourable Artillery Grounds tomorrow afternoon.

Apart from seeing the likes of HSBC, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley battling for bragging rights there will also be a team including former England rugby captain Will Carling taking on England's official touch rugby sevens side.

The event is open to the public to watch but registration is compulsory.
