Snow halts transport network

A flurry of snow brought London's transport network to a grinding halt early on Monday morning.
Buses were suspended overnight and the Jubilee line was reduced to a limited westbound service as Transport for London came to terms with some of the heaviest UK snowfall in 20 years.
Forecasters predict that around 15 centimetres of snow will fall by noon on Monday, and several flights from London airports have already fallen victim to one of the coldest winters in over a decade. London City Airport and Gatwick were both forced to shut during Sunday evening, with LCA's flights being diverted to Heathrow and Luton.
The UK is expected to see further snow in the next 48 hours, with freezing temperatures likely to continue until the end of the week.
