Go nuts to beat stress

We’ve looked at some of the more holistic ways to relieve stress recently, but what about if you just want to let off steam and go a bit nuts?
We’ve picked five of the best ways to go about it.
Pick up the pads. Any kind of martial art will do wonders for your stress levels but boxing and kickboxing work a treat. Venting your fury on a punchbag will leave you feeling too pooped to vent elsewhere if nothing else.
Smash up something. A Spanish company hit the headlines a while ago for pioneering destruction therapy – smashing up things to make yourself feel a bit better. If you think you can persuade your boss to take you and your team out to Spain to bash up cars with a sledgehammer visit their website at www.stopstressenglish.com
Book a squash court. Invite a colleague (or better still, a client) for a game of squash under the guise of bonding/ team building, and then whip his/her butt to really make yourself feel better.
Practise intervals. Interval training, high intensity periods of cardio, promotes the release of endorphins, those feelgood hormones which take the edge off life (albeit temporarily). Forget your stale office environment for an hour and head to the gym to get into the zone.
Put on your dancing shoes. Forget Strictly Come Dancing – think hip-thrusting moves and tequila shots in a cellar bar on a Friday night. What better way to relieve your stress?
