Man stabbed at O2's Urban Music Awards

Violence erupted at The O2's Urban Music Awards on Saturday night, leaving one man recovering from stab wounds in hospital.
Hundreds of guests were interviewed by police following the attack just after 10.10pm. A 27-year-old man is now in a serious but stable condition in an East London hospital, while a 30-year-old was discharged after being treated for minor injuries.
The event itself was cut short after around an hour and a half, with eyewitnesses reporting a brawl of around 30 people which left "blood all over the floor". Leona Lewis, Dizzee Rascal and Duffy had been nominated for awards at the show, which was held in the 2,350-capacity IndigO2 venue. Police sealed around 300 people inside the venue for questioning, and a 21-year-old was arrested at the scene.
Early reports suggested three people had been stabbed, but the Metropolitan Police issued a statement on Sunday claiming that only two had been treated. Only one is believed to have been the result of a stabbing.
The arrested man remains in custody at a South London police station. Officers from Greenwich CID are investigating the incident.
