Girls Aloud announce O2 gig

GALOUD 09.jpgGIRLS Aloud will be strutting their stuff again at The O2 next May.

The chart-topping band, whose latest album is currently number one, will be packing their fans in to the arena on Saturday, May 23 for the last date of their European tour.

It will be their second appearance at the venue, following a sell-out gig earlier this year, and the girls - Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle - admit they are looking forward to the tour.

Nadine said: "We can't wait to get back out on the road to see our fans and play the music that we love from the past albums and especially playing the new songs in those arenas next year. We look forward to seeing you all there."

In their six-year career Girls Aloud have racked up an impressive string of hits, including "Sound of the Underground", "Biology" and latest number one single "The Promise." Not bad for a group put together on tv reality show "Popstars" back in 2002.

Their latest album, "Out of Control", hit the top spot in the charts on Sunday, selling over 85,000 copies in its first week of release.

Tickets priced £35.00 go on sale at 9am on Friday November 14 from www.theo2.co.uk or by calling 0844 856 0202.
