MILLWALL manager Kenny Jackett is hoping to give Lions fans the cup run they deserve.

It has been five years since the East London side stepped out at the Millennium Stadium to face Manchester United in the FA Cup final. And Kenny hopes a win against Aldershot in this year's second round will be a springboard for another historic run.

Millwall will be without the services of Zak Whitbread and Marcus Bignot for the visit of the conference side, while on-loan midweek goalscorer Tresor Kandol will again be dropped as owners Leeds United do not want him to be cup-tied.

But Kenny said: "A cup run is something I'd like to achieve for Millwall, because I think they deserve it.
"The cup can bring so much to the club and open up some very obvious options. I can turn the focus from local to national.
"We haven't had a televised game for some years. It's good experience for the players and builds up their confidence. It can also impact on a league campaign because it brings revenue in."
