Millwall win again

millwall.gifMILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett hailed last night's 2-1 win over Colchester as the "best of the season" as the Lions moved into the automatic promotion places.

First-half goals from Lewis Grabban and Paul Robinson earned the Lions a well-deserved victory against a determined Colchester side.

The home side pulled one back through Kemal Izzet but Millwall hung on to secure all three points.

They are now second in League One, behind leaders Scunthorpe on goal difference.

Jackett was full of praise for his side.

He said: "I rate tonight as our best win of the season, given the effort that went into Saturday's win against Leeds.

"To go again against what I consider a very good Colchester side - we saw that when they beat us in the Johnstone Paint Trophy this season - was excellent.

"It was a massive win for us and we had to dig deep for it. It was a bit of a smash-and-grab in the end but we went ahead with two very well-worked goals. "

"It means we're on a good run of eight wins in nine games, including four on the spin away. There's no great secret to it - you just work, hard, work hard and then you work hard again."
