The latest super food is now available on the Wharf but far more exciting is the arrival of a delicious ice cream bar. Click the link below to find out more.

  • It may be cold outside but we’ve gone crazy for Canary Wharf’s latest newcomer, Zaza.
  • This authentic Italian gelato parlour in Cabot Place East serves more than 60 ice-cream varieties, all made from natural ingredients, plus milkshakes, smoothies and fruit cups.

Their signature dish, the brioche gelato – icecream served in a croissant. Bold but oh so beautiful.

  • Forget edamame, seaweed and algae.
  • The latest food trend making a buzz in celebrity circles is rosehip.

Richer in vitamin C than oranges, rosehip berries contain high levels of antioxidants and are reputed to be beneficial to people suffering from joint aches and pains.

RoseRich, which uses rosehips growing wild in the Andes Mountain, has just launched its new range, including capsules, powder, oil, shells and tea, at Waitrose Canary Wharf. For rosehip recipe details, visit www.rose-rich.com

  • The virtues of eating locally sourced and organic food have long been bestowed upon us from all directions.
  • But it’s easier said than done to maintain that lifestyle choice, especially when you’re eating out regularly or don’t pass an allotment on your way home from work.

That’s where the DLR’s latest Get Out More Pocket Guide to East London’s finest locally sourced or organic restaurants and shops comes in handy.

It features a range of hidden gems including The Deptford Project, a cool café housed inside a train carriage that serves home-made food from locally sourced ingredients and The Creaky Shed in Greenwich, pictured, a boutique grocers, selling seasonal fruit and vegetables plus home-made jams, chutneys and organic chocolate.

The guide is free from DLR stations.
