Bankers will be paid

LEHMAN Brothers employees' September pay packets are safe provided they keep showing up at the bank's Wharf headquarters.
Employees will be paid by September 30, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Tony Lomas.
But only if they continue to report for work.
PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has been appointed as administrator to the bank to wind down its operations, has negotiated a loan to help pay the 4,000 Wharfers, Mr Lomas said in an Internet presentation on Wednesday, September 17.
