Preview: West Ham v Macclesfield
WEST Ham are taking no chances in tonight's Carling Cup tie against League Two Macclesfield Town
Alan Curbishley has promised to field a strong side against the Silkmen, believing the competition offers the Hammers the best chance of glory this season.
He said: "Last year we attacked the cup competitions and we're going to do it again this year.
"They [Macclesfield] are going to try and make it as difficult as they can. We know that and we've got to make sure we overcome that."
Full-back George McCartney could be in line for his first appearance of the season, while Craig Bellamy is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Carlton Cole has made a rapid recovery from a back injury picked up during the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City last Saturday and could start.
Mark Noble is suspended after his sending off against City.
Macclesfield overcame Blackpool in the last round but lost 2-0 to Accrington Stanley in Saturday's league fixture.
