Northampton v Millwall preview
MILLWALL travel to the Sixfields Stadium looking for revenge after Northampton dumped them out of the Carling Cup last week.
That 1-0 defeat at The Den was followed by a lucky home draw against Southend last Saturday, so the Lions will be keen to pick up their first win of the season to push them up League One.
Dave Brammer, Adrian Forbes, Marcus Bignot and Ryan Smith have all recovered from illness and injury and will be pushing for places in the squad.
Manager Kenny Jackett is pleased to have a fuller squad to choose from, having spent much of last season firefighting an injury crisis.
"Having to disappoint people by leaving them out is a much better position to be in," he said. "I now have to find the right combination of personalities in the team to start picking up the points we need."
Northampton have injury problems of their own, with five first-team players doubtful. They have also lost Hungarian international centre-back Gabor Gyepes, who signed for Cardiff on Tuesday.
The corresponding fixture last season, on New Year's Day, ended 1-1 while Millwall's last victory at Northampton was a 2-1 success way back in Februaray 1999.
