MOTIVATED entrepreneurs are aiming to break down barriers with employers - starting in Canary Wharf.

Youngsters involved in social enterprise Elevation Networks launched their project at Churchill Place's Barclays headquarters this month.

The project aims to help those with fewer opportunities, especially those from ethnic minorities, women, the disabled and graduates from lower-profile universities.

Guests clinking glasses at the launch included Black Farmer food range founder Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones and Reggae Reggae sauce's Brixton-born creator Levi Roots, known for his appearance on BBC TV show Dragon's Den.

Samuel Kasumu, director of Elevation Networks, said: "By getting involved with this organisations people can access a rich talent pool.

"We’re taking advantage of online resources such as Facebook to bring aspiring young students together and then connect them with organisations that are passionate about supporting such motivated individuals."
