The Wharf's 4.30pm travel update
COMMUTERS heading west should probably consider heading underground tonight.
While the Jubilee line is happily chugging away beneath London's streets, the Docklands Light Railway is struggling with a power failure which has suspended service between Shadwell and Bank.
A faulty train at Morden is causing severe delays on the Northern Line between that station and Kennington. And the Piccadilly line is particularly treacherous tonight, with a communications failure causing a suspension between Uxbridge and Ruslip, and minor delays appearing elsewhere due to a signal failure at Acton Town.
The District line is suspended between Turnham Green and Richmond due to a signal failure at Kew Gardens. Severe delays are occurring on the rest of the line due to earlier emergency engineering work at Turnham Green.
After all that, the good news is that the roads are reportedly clear, and the Thames Clipper ferries are reporting plain sailing.
