Face of the week

What are you plugging...? I’m plugging the Wickerman Festival – Scotland’s best kept musical secret.
Why...? Despite beating Glastonbury to an award for the best grass roots festival last year, it remains largely unknown south of the border. It has a 24-hour licence so the music and activities are pretty much round the clock from July 25 to July 27.
There’s more...? Yes. I’m keen to hear some familiar accents up there this year so I’m giving readers of The Wharf the opportunity to win a pair of free tickets. Just email me to tell me who the two headline acts are at jay@eventcement.com and I’ll pick a winner randomly. go to www.wickermanfestival. co.uk for hints.
How did you get into your career...? While working at Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street I organised a couple of staff parties. Before long it was my full time job.
Where do you buy your coffee...? I generally get coffee beans from Waitrose, then go home, get the papers and spend time relaxing.
Tell us a secret...? I know the numbers of all the cheesy pop songs on my local’s juke box.
Best thing about Canary Wharf...? The mixt of the ultra-modern and the ultra-trendy with the old East End.
And the worst…? The growing road congestion.
