A MAN arrested over an armed robbery at Bootys bar has been eliminated from police enquiries.

The bar in Narrow Street, Limehouse, had £5,000 taken after staff were tied up and threatened with a knife just after the London Marathon on April 13.

Later that month, police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Tower Hamlets, and subsequently released both on bail.

The woman was later ruled out of police inquiries and now officers have said the man who was arrested is also no longer a suspect.

Police have launched a fresh appeal for information.

Call Detective Constable Dean Musgrove on 020 8217 4162 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you can help.
