DANCING footballers and ten foot high Subbuteo men are taking over Canary Riverside.

A 30-minute long performance called Bend it... is just one of the events at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival this weekend.

Described as a "barnstorming collision between football and South Asian dance", the show will be performed at 1pm and 6pm (today) Friday and at 2pm and 5pm on Saturday, at the area just past Westferry Circus.

The huge Subbuteo-style players are made out of mannequins and were put together by Arts Desire at Rotherhithe.

Other events at the festival include Chinese art coming to life in Time is like water flowing at The O2, and the Olympic themed, The Medal Ceremony at Cutty Sark Gardens.
