London city airport impacted by bomb discovery

FLIGHT numbers at London City Airport have been reduced as bomb disposal experts battle with a World War II device on the Olympic site.

Currently, 14 flights are running each hour, as opposed to the usual 20, because of an exclusion zone above the scene of the discovery in Newham.

A spokeswoman for London City said: "As we understand it, it could take until 1pm to deal with, as it is more complicated than previously thought."

Services on the c2c are also being disrupted.
