Betbrokers' Nigel Seeley - The "Wizard of Odds" - picks his selections for Wharf punters to back.

Oi Oi you punters! That was the cheer when all three of our selections went in at the weekend netting us a very healthy £107.76 profit.

This weekend’s conclusion to the Premier League offers some of the best punting opportunities of the year. Manchester United are going for the title while Wigan have lost every game to United in their history. But are they 16/1 pokes at home? No!

If this game was played five weeks ago Wigan would be no bigger than 7/1 to win. Just because United need to win to retain the title bookies have doubled their price. It’s the age long argument with gambling – putting reason before value. 16/1 on Wigan winning is too big for a team which defeated Aston Villa and held Chelsea 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Another match priced up just because a team need the points is Derby’s home clash with Reading.

Reading need a win to give themselves a chance of survival, but how can they be 8/15 to win away at Derby? Derby are the worst team in Premier League history but on current form Reading are worse than the Rams!

Six games without a goal has seen Reading slide down the table from 25/1 relegation outsiders to big odds-on to be joining their opponents in the Championship.

Paul Jewell’s men represent a bet at 6/1 on Saturday, as all the Derby players will be playing to impress the boss.

Our final bet of the football season is the non-event between Tottenham and Liverpool.

Already 78 goals have been scored in 18 games at White Hart Lane. With the pressure off, Rafa Benetiz looks set to unleash his full strike force. It's hard to see why bookies have chalked up 4/5 that the match produces more than two goals and for a speculative wager back the game to finish 3-3 at 66/1.
