SOME of the world’s finest cars are just a few steps away from your office and just waiting to be taken for a spin.

The SuperCar club, run by Group 20, has taken up residency at One Canada Square and has four parking spaces for its luxury cars.

This week, the group, which has bases across the country, hit 16 cars with the arrival of a Pagani Zonda F Roadster and a Porsche 997 GT3, which were unveiled in Docklands on Tuesday.

Simon Grantley, regional director of Group 20, said Canary Wharf was the perfect setting for the company.

“The idea is for club members to just head out their office, come down here and jump in a car for the weekend, then bring it back on Monday,” he said. “We have members who are successful business people, corporate clients and sales customers who use them as an incentive for staff.”

The Zonda and new Porsche join a fleet which already boasts Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Aston Martins. In a style befitting their sleek status, they arrived in Royal Victoria Dock by Silver Sturgeon cruise ship, having completed a promotional tour along the Thames.

At £600,000, the Zonda from Italy is the most expensive car in the club and one of only 25 of its kind in the world.

Thinking of taking the Zonda for a spin? For insurance purposes SuperCar club members have to complete a driving course three to four hours before signing it out. But the course is fun says Grantley.

“You learn a lot about handling the car and get to know what it can do,” he said.
