MILLWALL fans should head to Victoria Park this Sunday to rub shoulders with some of their heroes and raise cash for a good cause at the same time.

Nearly 300 men from around the country will be competing in Keep Your Eye on the Ball 5K run at the park, in Hackney, for the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign.

The event, which kick-starts Everyman Month in June, has been organised with support from The FA and The PFA. Millwall players Neil Harris, Paul Robinson, Danny Spiller and Chris Hackett, along with Derby County's Alan Stubbs, Notts County's Adam Tann and Hull City's Matt Duke, are all taking part.

Long-time Everyman patron Neil Harris, who survived his own battle with the disease, is hoping to better his performance in this year's run

He said: "Testicular cancer is obviously an issue close to my heart so you can bet I will be up there fighting for a top place. I came fifth last year, so I'm going to try my best to better that this year."

Goalie Matt Duke of Hull City, the Championship side recently promoted to the Premier League, is excited about his debut at the 5K run. "The run gives lads a chance to get together and do something fun, while at the same time supporting a great cause" said Duke.

The fastest individuals and top fundraisers will each be honoured for their achievements and the winning club will be the one that finishes with the best average running time.

All money raised will go towards funding research into prostate and testicular cancer which affects more almost 37,000 men in the UK every year.

Participants have until Friday 30 May to register for the event on the Everyman website www.everyman-campaign.org or by phoning 0800 731 9468.
