Pot luck at via
TRADITIONAL pub sports around the Wharf had been restricted to the one dart board in the Cat and Canary.
But not anymore.
Via on West India Quay has just brought in two pool tables to its back room, where customers can have a game for £1.50.
There are plans to get involved with East London tournaments and host internal competitions if they prove a hit.
Via manager Sam Wells said: “Smoky pool halls are a thing of the past now, so I suppose this is a modern take on it. We’re hoping to get tournaments going, we’re going to play it by ear and see what people around here want.”
Anyone interested in signing up to tournaments can leave their details behind the bar.
Via is also open late on the weekend, when downstairs turns into a club. A new menu is also set to launch later this spring.
