Face of the week

THIS week’s Face is no stranger to the wonders of the world wide web.

Lancashire native Sian Owen is spending two weeks learning the ropes from the Daily Mirror’s online team at One Canada Square.

Sian returned to her home county last year for an MA in online journalism at Preston’s University of Central Lancashire after seven years in London.

She’s a big fan of music, and has been spotted singing and playing the keyboard in alt-country and folk bands. Sian’s latest idea is Gig in a Flat, a series of secret acoustic gigs held in living rooms.
