'i'll do my best to get us back to premier league'

THEY may not be able to communicate much off the pitch, but Zheng Zhi believes he and Matt Holland have developed a great understanding in the Charlton midfield.
It has been a tough time for the club in recent weeks but it's argued that the duo have been a consistent force, and last week Holland said Zheng is one of the best he has played with.
Now Zheng, who is having weekly English lessons and spoke to The Wharf through an interpreter, has repaid the compliment.

"I have a very good relationship with Matt Holland and I think he is a very good player as well," said 27-year-old Zheng.
"When we play together we can understand each other, even just by looking at each other we know what the other is going to do, whether we are going to make a run, make a pass or what.
"I can't make much conversation in English, but we can communicate when playing football through body language. At the moment I think we get along very well in matches."
It's been a long, hard season for Zheng so far but the Chinese captain said he doesn't regret re-signing for Charlton for a minute, even though last year's loan stay ended in relegation.
"I made my choice to come to Charlton and I think it was a very good choice," says Zheng, the club's leading scorer with nine goals.
"I really want to play at the very highest levels. I'm in England now and I will do my very best to get this team back to the Premier League.
"The season could be better but we have had a lot of problems. Charlton are in a tough league and we have had so many players injured and a lot of players have left.
"We've got a lot of new players and we have had to learn to play together and to understand each other.
"But this time has passed and it is all right now; we think it will be better from now on."
Another reason the Chinese national captain, who is likely to lead his country in the Olympic Games this year, is enjoying his stay at The Valley is because of the fans.
"I've met so many Charlton supporters here," he said. "Even my next-door neighbour is a Charlton supporter. It is a great club to play for, and that is because of the fans."
