Face of the week

THIS WEEK’S Face is more comfortable behind the lens, but managed to be coaxed out with the promise of beers at 1802.

Patrick Straube is a freelance photographer who has previously worked for CNN in London. The 26-year-old lives in New Cross, but the closure of the East London line isn’t getting him down, as he’s far happier on his fixed gear bike.

He enjoys cycling around Canary Wharf and Docklands, surfing and playing chess in Greenwich Park.
The dark winter days have been getting Patrick down, so he’s set to jet off to Morocco at the end of the week.
